Complete research for a public institution

PFRON supports people with disabilities through five public portals, built separately over the years. I planned and ran research with the people who use them and turned the findings into design decisions.

01 Problem

People got lost between portals: only 46% clearly found what they looked for, only 33% reached the application portal alone.

02 North Star

People know what applies to them and where to act.

03 Action

Expert audit, then research with 15 people incl. blind, deaf and low-vision users; ~80 issues ranked and mapped to WCAG 2.1.

04 Effect

Users who found the information they needed: from 46% to up to 75%. Projected from the research baseline; to be verified after launch.
