Case study · Roche

Finding my way into a domain

ProSE, Roche's internal platform for antibody discovery. As lead designer in a team of 12-14, I had to learn the lab well enough to design for it.

  • Domain-driven design
  • Workflows

01 Problem

Lab work runs across plates, instruments and ~15 linked systems; a request-driven form meant hundreds of clicks.

02 North Star

Understand the bench before designing the screen.

03 Action

Event storming and hypotheses for busy experts, then workflows built around real plates: clone regrow, clean sequence registration, instrument runs.

04 Effect

4 workflows shipped and stayed in use; the team relied on me for the domain.
